Nourishment & Peace

We invite you to join us on Friday 15th of March for Yoga & Supper for a super special evening edition of our well loved wellness series.

We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca Lee Close to The Mowbray  to enjoy a wonderful evening with a gentle group of like minds.

Lit entirely by candles to invite a soulful and peaceful vibe - come and join us on your mat in the delectably warm and cosy interior of The Mowbray for a joyous celebration of movement to nourish your body, heart and soul.

We have practised with Rebecca many times over the years - and her classes are always joyful, playful and give you such a spring in your step. Her natural enthusiasm and vibrancy are thoroughly heart warming and give you such a boost that really does nourish and sustain you long after you leave her class.

18.30  - Arrivals & Settling

We'll welcome you into soothing surrounds and sounds of our evening retreat with a warm brew of goodness to help you settle in and relax on your mat.

19.00  - The Yoga

Escape the hustle of daily life and immerse yourself in an oasis of tranquility with our candlelit yoga class. With the arrival of the weekend, treat yourself to a rejuvenating experience that goes beyond the ordinary. With each gentle movement, feel the tension melt away as you liberate your shoulders and spine in all directions, allowing energy to flow freely throughout your entire being.

The asana practice will begin gently to let go of any lingering fatigue that may have gathered in the week. Once set free from lethargy, we will flow toward more energising and empowering movements that will leave you feeling ready and excited for the evening and weekend to come.

To complete the session, prepare to surrender to the loving embrace of yoga nidra. This deeply restorative practice of meditative rest that will lead you into a state of profound relaxation, where time seems to stand still and worries fade into the background. Here, in this sacred space, you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with your innermost self and tap into a wellspring of peace and inner calm.

About Rebecca

Born in Vancouver, Canada, I now live in Sheffield with my kids, dog, and husband, I’ve been teaching yoga for over 7 years and have been practising for more than 20.

I lived a very international life before settling in Sheffield, my previous trade was ‘Ships Captain’ - not conducive to family life as the womb holder in the relationship!

I found yoga as a way to practise self-care mentally and physically while I was restricted to movement in my cabin at sea, away from studios, teachers, and regular time schedules.

My training is originally Anusara based, which focuses on alignment principles. I’ve developed my teaching to include restorative, yin, pain-care, postnatal, functional mobility, and women’s (or those with wombs) health practices.

My classes are varied energy wise depending on who’s in attendance and what the overall focus is. They are always light-hearted, detail-oriented, and full of options to suit nearly all bodies.
