When 93ft designed The Mowbray, they always anticipated a car events to be a popular occurrence, which was why the entry sequence into the building was always top priority!  The original factory doors slide pleasingly wide open and the bespoke made steel and glass doors have been cleverly designed to fold back on themselves to allow vehicles easy access onto The Mowbray's original factory floor.

The Porsche 992 911

Last week we hosted the grand unveiling of the gorgeous new Porsche 992 911.

We welcomed two cars - the Carrera 4S in Racing Yellow and the ultra sexy Carrera S in Agate Grey which looked amazing under our chandelier and against the red factory floor.

The Mowbray

It was a spectacular evening of cars, food, music and drinks for just under 300 specially invited guests to join Porsche for first sight of the car. It was great to see so many familiar faces - lots of people who have already had an event at The Mowbray, and plenty more who have already secured dates! 

We looked after private parking for 100 cars and private security to escort guests from the carpark to The Mowbray. We also opened 93ft's top floor design studio to give Porsche guests the chance to experience an arial view of the Carrera 4S from the 'viewing gallery' and an exclusive area for customers to book that all important test drive.

The Food

Made in The Mowbray Kitchen by our chef team - we served up...

Confit of duck, celeriac palmier and red cabbage jam

Oak smoked salmon, wasabi mayonnaise, coriander shoots and shaved radishes

Japanese mushrooms on toast, soy and choi with coriander dust (V) (Ve)

Ham hock croquette with broad bean puree and house pickle

Beech Smoked Sea Trout Pate, beets and Radish sprouts on a seeded cracker

Candied pecan and pumpkin tart with blue cheese (V) 

Followed by

Bullion chocolate cremoso and nibbed nut crumble

Strawberry and custard mille-feuille

Guests sipped fizz, Mowbray chosen wines and Estrella Damm.

A special note of thanks goes to you Sally. You have been nothing but professional from the outset – dealing with the budget and the change of date, mirroring our catering requirements, derigging an entire workspace, looking after our cars and kit overnight, organising stewards and car parking facilities – all so calmly. Please also thank Lucy and Lu and all the catering team and waiting staff.

We are thrilled that you have had so many enquiries both during and post the event, you so deserve the success. Gutted we didn’t get to meet your husband, he’s a very lucky man!"
