A great range of classes for any enthusiastic home barista or any budding pro wanting to learn! COFFEE CLASS is hosted with Sam Gilmer at Mow’s - our speciality coffee hangout on Arundel Street, Sheffield.
Cool in the Summer and cosy in the Winter - there's original red brick and vintage leathers, a custom made coffee counter of antique marble and reclaimed timbers and leafy green plants peeking at you from shelves and corners - a beautiful place to have some dedicated 'you time' to learn!

Baristas, filter coffee connoisseur or would be latte artists…Or maybe you want to pursue a career in coffee and want a head start in getting to grips with learning new skills - or perfecting existing know-how. Everyone is very welcome!
COFFEE CLASS is focused on learning industry skills first hand behind the bar after hours at Mow’s with Sam. You’ll be working with our commercial equipment learning skills to use at home with your own coffee set up or if you’re planning to head into the industry.
Classes
Class One - Espresso
Understanding extraction of espresso, proper puck preparation technique and dialing in the recipe to taste so you can make delicious espresso.
Class Two - Foundation milk steaming and latte art
How to achieve perfect silky smooth microfoam and how to pour the foundation patterns of latte art. (Heart, Rosetta and Tulip)
Class Three - Filter coffee brewing
How to brew delicious filtered coffee at home including understanding basic methodology, brew ratio and technique and how to adjust to taste using the hario v60 filter coffee Brewer.
Class Four - Advanced latte art
Already comfortable with the basics of latte art but want to know more? Maybe you have already done our milk steaming and Latte art course? In this course we cover how to pour more complex patterns building on the basics from our foundation course, We will look at more complex patterns and techniques like push and stream bases drag pouring, cup and pour control and different styles and sizes and how to best utilize them for your chosen design.

We can get you set up with whatever you need from a basic home filter and hand grinder set up automatic batch filter brewing at home or a beautiful home espresso machine and grinder.
The Details
You can attend COFFEE CLASS one - four as an individual or with one other. We’re keen that we keep classes very small to allow plenty of emphasis on one to one tuition.
Class Five is a group class - for 1-4 people
Class 1-4 : £100 6pm-9pm (1-2ppl)
Class 5a 5b : £50 pp 6pm-8pm (1-4 ppl)
COFFEE CLASS is hosted after 6pm
