In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.
Volunteer hosts and their team members organise local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. From design legends to hometown heroes, speakers are selected by each chapter based on a global theme. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is creative.
CreativeMornings & 93 at The Mowbray
Penny Lee, the driving force behind CM Sheffield asked us to host the February Edition of CreativeMornings... The answer was of course, we’d love to!
To make our CreativeMorning extra special, the guest speaker was Nick Clark, Co-Founder and Creative Partner of 93.
Hazy spring sunshine poured over Mowbray Street and through the factory doors. Mowbray bakes and the most delicious coffee all round - the perfect early morning motivator!
Guests took their seats, grazing over breakfast, with 93 graphics on screen to give a tantalising preview of what’s to come. The global theme for February was ‘Symmetry’. Nick presented visual feast of stunning graphics, illustrating the beauty and delights of symmetry and asymmetry within his his work, The Mowbray and the design world.
A captivating presentation was followed by a short Q&A, then a great opportunity for our guests to chat to Nick, enjoy another cuppa and explore The Mowbray!
93 and The Mowbray
93 have designed and made everything in The Mowbray, with their own studio HQ suspended above part of the events space in a dynamic two level glass pyramid in a private capsule, morphing around the structure of the original buildings.
The entire restoration of our beautiful building has been masterminded by our award winning agency 93ft who sit in a state of the art design studio in the rafters above The Mowbray. From here they have created bespoke furniture and lighting designs especially for The Mowbray including chandeliers, wall lights, the bar, tables et al.
Nick is a Co-Founder and Creative Partner of 93ft, an independent design studio based in Sheffield, UK. Quartered into Interior Architecture, Brand, Strategy and Content Creation, Digital Strategy with bespoke web development and furniture design and manufacture.
93 work UK and Europe wide often taking care of all services under one roof - managing the vision, direction and strategic thinking as a whole project from start to finish. The agency represent independent brands to those with international acclaim across lifestyle, retail, workspace and hospitality.
Established in 2005, Nick joined forces with fellow Co-Founder - Tim Hubbard, to help deliver the visual vision for 93 and their clients projects. Recognising the value that clear and confident concept presentations bring to the table, Nick heads up the brand and digital team delivering brand strategy, creative and insight to complement the work of the interior, product/furniture design and creative manufacturing department.
Nick works with visionaries, entrepreneurs and big business with a proven track record of success. Together he helps direct the team and business striving for creative visual thinking and a world class standard of work.
