Weddings have just gone petit!
This is how we started! One of our first weddings at The Chimney House nearly 13 years ago was a Petit Wedding... We remember it well - it was stunning.
Over a decade later - we've become famous for our Weddings at both The Chimney House and The Mowbray - but find ourselves taking inspiration from our early days to present magical times in turbulent days.

We're wholeheartedly embracing Petit times - in the absence of scale - we're concentrating on this unique time to bring joy and unexpected pleasures - after all sometimes the best things in life come in little packages.

with our sweet pickled pears (v)
More about our Mowbray Made Ricotta: Made from fresh milk & cream, and hung in muslin overnight at The Mowbray.
We have paired it simply with some wildflower honey and toasted walnuts. Our delicious pickled pears
were preserved in Autumn. We have used white wine, bay & warm spices to gently flavour them this is a real treat!
THE MAIN EVENT
‘Picanha Tagliata’
Our favourite cut of beef, chargrilled and sliced. Dressed with Wild Rocket, shaved Parmigiano Reggiano & Fresh Basil.
More about the Picanha: The Picanha is a cut taken from the rump. It has a nice piece of fat on top which keeps the meat juicy, but can be easily trimmed off by your guests. We marinate it in garlic, lemon & herbs for a wonderful flavour. Our Picanha comes from Yorkshire-bred cows.
For our vegetarian/vegan guests...
The Mowbray’s Aubergine Parmigiana; slowly roasted Aubergine, baked in the most delicious
tomato sauce. Topped with melting mozzarella & crispy Pangrattato (crispy garlic breadcrumbs) (v, g)
The meat eaters will be jealous!

Sweet Squash Roasted with Sage, finished with crumbled Gorgonzola (v)

PAVS
Our pavlovas are legendary, depending on the availability/season we can do a classic PAV of white crispy meringue, whipped cream and a heap of fresh fruit and berries. Our PAVs are served whole for your guests to share with their table.

Rosewater & pistachio meringue, Poached Yorkshire Rhubarb* with Mascarpone
Classic Mowbray Pav - we’ll use the best berries/fruit we can get. It may be fresh, poached or roasted.

Creamy Yorkshire Blue with Toasted Walnuts & Wildflower Honey
About this cheese: A mild & creamy blue cheese, made from Yorkshire Cow’s Milk by the girls at Shepherd’s Purse in North Yorkshire.
Tunworth & Roasted Grapes
Hampshire’s answer to Camembert, and don’t tell the French, but we think it’s even better. This cheese is still lovingly made by hand and offers a long lasting sweet & nutty flavour. The roasted grapes help to cut through the richness.
