Morgan & Jordan Say
"From the outset we knew that we wanted a laid back wedding party, and as soon as we walked into The Mowbray we knew it was a bit of us.
We’ve been living in London for the past few years and the venue exudes the cool, calm and collected vibe of our home city. But even better, it’s in Sheffield, the city between where we both grew up.
The top priority for us was the food, we wanted to make sure that guest really enjoyed the day. And if you’re like me, the one thing you remember is the food. And The Mowbray didn’t disappoint, from starter to desert the food was lapped up, with one guest even stalking up to the top table claiming she wasn’t getting enough (her group just weren’t sharing as the food was too good). Other notable quotes from the day include, ‘I’m devastated that I’ll die never eating that squid again’.
It’s safe to say the wedding feast was well enjoyed. As where the speeches and toasts of the days, with the father of the bride, bridesmaids and best man delivering heartfelt tributes that brought my laughter, tears and joy.
The house team managed the day perfectly, making sure that not only the venue looked fab for our arrival, but the day ran smoothly without a hitch.
The guests loved dancing the night away to music provided by The Northern Lights, a band that brought the couples love of Manchester bands to life.
And when it all became a bit much, occasionally guests were able to head up to the terrace to catch a breath of fresh air and gather themselves. After all they were being snapped at every opportunity by the disposable cameras provided by the bride and groom.
Overall it was a day lived by all, and were so sad that it’s over as wish we could do it all over again.
Thank you to The Mowbray team, in particular the kitchen and front of house staff for giving us the best start to married life."
