Weddings - Reimagined!
It hasn’t been an easy time for anyone - let alone weddings in the current climate. Emotions run high, big decisions are made and new ways are imagined.
We have been working hard alongside our wedding couples to adapt, mould and reimagine how a wedding can happen at the moment - without loosing any of its magic, creativity and beauty.
Steph & Gianni's wedding just shows how a socially distanced wedding with a carefully selected group of family & friends can be super special.
We were so delighted to be able to make this gorgeous couple's wedding as perfect as possible for them.
After their original venue cancelled their big day, we were there to help to smooth the way - on Bank Holiday Monday!
We worked closely with Steph & Gianni to plan a day with their close family and best men and women that still felt intimate despite social distancing measures.
As ever - The Mowbray gave us beautiful light, gentle tones and luxe textures, warm, intimate moments, fresh Sheffield air on the roof terrace and cosy corners for special captures.
A Bespoke Feast
After being wed at the beautiful St Swithins church, they headed over to The Mowbray for a bespoke Italian inspired feast with the most delightful Roasted Hake with fennel, herbs & lemon followed by an indulgent Hazelnut Tart with yoghurt cream! This menu is also tailored to the ‘Overcoming MS’ diet Gianni follows which our chefs were more than happy to cater for!
Steph & Gianni were obviously the stars of the day however.. Chef Emma’s two-tier Viccy Sponge was definitely a close second! Piled high with fresh summer berries and oozing with strawberry jam - guests were eager to take a piece home with them!
On The Table
Mowbray-made Focaccia (v, ve, g)
Nocerella olives marinated with rosemary & lemon (v, ve)

The Main Event
Hake simply roasted with fennel, herbs & lemon
Confit shallot dressing, with capers & parsley

The Mowbray went above and beyond to make everything stylish, beautiful, delicious and comfortable! These are tricky times to celebrate a wedding. However, they did everything to keep our guests safe and help us all have a wonderful experience, at the same time.
The staff were all really hard working and delivered so much attention to detail. The chefs worked with us to provide a menu which suited a lot of special dietary requirements, whilst being mind-blowingly tasty!
We had so many comments about the amazing wedding cake! Thank you for making our day so special and memorable - a real celebration in spite of social distancing! Steph & Gianni
