We're really excited to opening the doors to The Mowbray from August with a series of super small and select but big on fun Supper and Lunch Clubs!
Doing Things We Should Have Been Doing!
Mowbray Supper and Lunch Clubs are all about catching up on all of the GREAT things we should be doing in 2020. We're hosting a series of events that serve up excellent food and bring bright and breezy vibes to kick start some happiness back into 2020!
Barbecue on the Beach
Inspired by ultra-chilled evenings on the beach with a cold beer and a tin plate of food from the coals.
On Friday the 7th of August join us for a sublime ode to the Barbeque and that bright and breezy vibe that the beach gives us. We're going to be serving up a true Mowbray Feast that is both seasonally delicious and whisks you away to the beach of your choice!
To celebrate our re-opening - we're also going to be serving up 2 for 1 Aperol Spritz and plenty of great wines and beers!
Dishes will be served on sharing plates per party and will roll out as ready from the grill - so get ready to FEAST!
If you are booking for a table of 4 or 6 and would like your sharing plates split into 'per couple or household' - please let us know when booking.
How to Book
Drop us a line to events@themowbray.co.uk to book your table. We're taking bookings of tables of 6, 4 and tables for 2.
We are incredibly fortunate that The Mowbray is a large, airy, well ventilated venue with lots of floor space - meaning we can space our tables and guests with maximum comfort.
Guests from a maximum of two households/support bubbles only should book a table for 2, 4 or 6. We will ask to confirm that all members of your table are not in a group required to isolate. We will also ask you to confirm that no members of the party have experienced Covid symptoms.
If you are booking as a couple you may be seated on a shared table 1 meter plus apart from another couple.
As usual we'll ask you to provide all guests dietary requirements so we can look after you perfectly!
If you wish to book for a greater number than 6, let us know! We may need to split your party on to separate tables
Some dishes will be for your party to share; please let us know how many households are sharing your table, and how many from each.

Preordering Drinks
We've matched our Feast menu with some real Summer treats from The Mowbray Bar - and we'll ask you to preorder drinks at the time of booking.
We'll send you a menu to choose from and we also intend to offer table service for extra and spontaneous drinks orders on the night!

Locally raised Chicken in a spicy marinade, charred & served with ridiculously indulgent blue cheese dip
Corn on the cob - grilled with cajun seasoning, and coated in grated parmesan & fresh coriander
Smoky coal roasted potato salad - with spring onions
Fresh mackerel caught close by - simply grilled with herbs & lemon
Lamb merguez sausage ‘hot dog’ on house brioche with mint yoghurt & house pickles
Mowbray made focaccia generously brushed with garlic butter & topped with melted cheddar
Mowbray slaw - crunchy veg, simply dressed
The Veggie BBQ
Spicy tamarind glazed squash with ridiculously indulgent blue cheese dip
Corn on the cob - grilled with cajun seasoning, and coated in grated parmesan & coriander
Smoky coal roasted potato salad - with spring onions
Grilled courgettes dressed with lemon & mint yoghurt with smoked quinoa
Grilled aubergine & halloumi skewers
Mowbray made focaccia generously brushed with garlic butter & topped with melted cheddar
Mowbray slaw - crunchy veg, simply dressed

Grilled peaches, cinder toffee & vanilla ice cream

Since the government announced the re-opening of hospitality venues we have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that you can dine with us safely whilst still being able to enjoy the atmosphere we offer at our Supper and Lunch Clubs. We are taking all steps outlined in our Charter incredibly seriously and we ask that you do too.
