An Italian treat for Friday night
This is a limited edition Supper Club - and a proper feast for the belly and the soul! A gloriously tasty Italian supper, designed for two - including a bottle of wine for £60.
Choose a bottle of house red, or white to go with your meal - or upgrade to our favourite Italian Red: Neprica Primitivo, normally £30 a bottle for £70 for two.
About the Primitivo
"Bright aromas of cherry jam, plum, geranium, blood orange rind and crushed stone carry the nose. The sleek, light-bodied palate offers crunchy red fruit lifted by juicy acidity, making this a superfresh and enjoyable wine. The tannins ride in the background, lending support to the fruit and mineral flavours."
Join Us For Cocktail Hour
Want to start your evening a little earlier? Pop along to our pre-dinner cocktail hour for 'two for one cocktails' and 'two cocktails for £12'.
Arrive between 6.30 - 7.30pm, order a round and we'll bring you some olives & crispy taralli crackers to nibble on at your table.
The Main Event
At 8pm - we'll be serving up our freshly made rosemary & sea salt focaccia with some simple vegetable antipasti & marinated buffallo mozzarella with Puglian olive oil & dark, sweet vinegar
Followed by a heaped bowl of beef cheek ragu & rigatoni pasta! Generously topped with grated padano cheese & fresh basil. Set between each pair to share with a delicious salad of chargrilled & pickled mushrooms pecorino & rocket.
Please let us know if you are vegetarian - as you'll be enjoying Roast pepper & aubergine puttanesca with olives & capers as an alternative to the beef cheek. As ever - let us know about any other dietary requirements when you book!

How to Book
Drop us a line to events@themowbray.co.uk to book your table - or through our online shop.
We're taking bookings for tables of 2, 3, 4, 5 up to 6.
We are incredibly fortunate that The Mowbray is a large, airy, well ventilated venue with lots of floor space - meaning we can space our tables and guests with maximum comfort.
Guests can book a maximum of a table of 6. We will ask to confirm that all members of your table are not in a group required to isolate. We will also ask you to confirm that no members of the party have experienced Covid symptoms.
If you are booking as a couple you may be seated on a shared table 1 meter plus apart from another couple.
As usual we'll ask you to provide all guests dietary requirements so we can look after you perfectly!
If you wish to book for a greater number than 6, let us know! We may need to split your party on to separate tables
Some dishes will be for your party to share; please let us know how many households are sharing your table, and how many from each.

Preordering Drinks
We've matched our Italian Supper with some real treats from The Mowbray Bar - and we'll ask you to preorder drinks at the time of booking.
We'll send you a menu to choose from and we also intend to offer table service for extra and spontaneous drinks orders on the day!
Covid-19
Since the government announced the re-opening of hospitality venues we have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that you can dine with us safely whilst still being able to enjoy the atmosphere we offer at our Supper and Lunch Clubs. We are taking all steps outlined in our Charter incredibly seriously and we ask that you do too.
