The Italian Canteen is one of our all time ‘big loves’ when it comes to The Mowbray Supper Clubs…We always sell out ‘pronto’ so be sure to book in as soon as you can! We're super excited to present a mighty early Spring Feast - the first IC of March with a spring in our step - it's going to so lovely!
'Canteen' is always all about the food of love - served up in abundance and all of the good vibes! Ever since we started hosting Supper Clubs - The Italian Canteen with its many different menus - has always been received with lots of love from you!
Everything on the menu is made by hand in The Mowbray Kitchen from our pasta, sauces and our bread - this menu will embrace all the cosy winter vibes you'd expect for this time of year - as one last hurrah - before we start to focus on Springtime! A sensationally fresh outlook with stacks of flavour and taste - we’re super excited about presenting this to you!

Feast in a group, as a couple, come as you are - this is a super social feast made magic with some other simple but essential ingredients - cosy candlelit, lights dimmed low, delicious seasonality and a fabulous vibe! This Supper Club is all about pre-dinner tipples, it’s about an excellent playlist and a relaxed effortless little evening of feasting happiness…
TO START
Mowbray made focaccia (v, g)
White bean dip with cime di rapa or purple sprouting broccoli, chilli, garlic & olive oil (v)
Arancina di anelletti alla Siciliana; crispy beef ragu & anelletti fritters (g)
Or 3 cheese arancini for our vegetarian guests (v, g)
FOLLOWED BY…
Mowbray polpette & cavatelli pasta: our house meatballs made with beef, pork shoulder & pancetta seasoned with fennel & lemon verbena. Served with hand-made cavatelli pasta, which has a gnocchi-like bite. Finished with parsley & Centosettanta cheese (g)
Or for our vegetarian guests: Hand-made cavatelli pasta with our delicious tomato sauce, mini burrata cheese & pesto (v, g)

Winter salad of rocket, radicchio, fennel & toasted hazelnuts (v, contains nuts)
DOLCI
Dark chocolate & mascarpone torte - a decadently rich dessert with pears & walnuts (v, contains nuts)

The Bar
As ever - The Mowbray Bar has curated a clutch of specialist cocktails designed to complement the feasting menu. We’ll also have our full bar menu available as well.
How To Book
Arrivals are from 18.30 if you’d like to start early at the bar!
We’ll be inviting you to take your seats for dinner at 19.30 - with the Feast beginning at 19.45.
Just let us know if you’ll be joining us early - otherwise we’ll see you from 19.00.
