A Special Collaboration
On the 19th of April - we're really proud to present a special collaboration with Tenaya Wine...
Tenaya is a neighbourhood wine shop and bar based in Crookes focusing on female producers, sustainability and most importantly introducing delicious wine! Virginia and Sarah have both spent time in California and were really inspired by the laidback wine shops and bars there and wanted to bring back this relaxed approach to Sheffield…
Tenaya will be giving a warm welcome and a special introduction to the evening with a fantastic selection of wines - all available to enjoy with the Italian Canteen. Sarah and Virginia will also be chatting and sampling to help you find your perfect wine for the evening!
We’ll also be running a ‘bottle shop’ on the night - so you can stock up with your faves to takeaway for the weekend too!
This is a really exciting collaboration for us - as Tenaya shares many of the same values as we do - from sustainability, provenance, delicious tastes to championing female roles - this is going to be a really special evening!
The Italian Canteen
The Italian Canteen is one of our all time ‘big loves’ when it comes to The Mowbray Supper Clubs…We always sell out ‘pronto’ so be sure to book in as soon as you can!
'Canteen' is always all about the food of love - served up in abundance and all of the good vibes! Ever since we started hosting Supper Clubs - The Italian Canteen with its many different menus - has always been received with lots of love from you!
Everything on the menu is made by hand in The Mowbray Kitchen and this menu will embrace sensationally fresh Spring outlook with stacks of flavour and taste - we’re super excited about presenting this to you!
The Feast
TO START
Mowbray-made focaccia (v, g)
Wild garlic aioli (v)
Sea trout ‘crudo’ - lightly cured sea trout with lemon & shaved fennel
Or for our vegetarian guests; tomato carpaccio with shallots, hazelnuts & basil
Ricotta gnudi (similar to gnocchi) with sage butter, Pecorino cream & pickled mushrooms (v, g)
FOLLOWED BY…
Wood-roasted Derbyshire pork collar - with shallot & caper salsa verde & marsala sauce
Or for our vegetarian guests: Aubergine Milanese; aubergine coated in crispy breadcrumbs with tomato sauce & salsa verde (v, g)
Purple sprouting broccoli with slow roasted tomatoes & cannelini beans (v)
Jersey royals with garlic, rosemary & lemon (v)
TO FINISH
Mowbray-made Tiramisu with mascarpone zabaglione & Dark Arts espresso (v, g)

The Bar
Alongside a beautiful wine selection from Tenaya - The Mowbray Bar has curated a clutch of specialist cocktails designed to complement the feasting menu. We’ll also have our full bar menu available as well.
How To Book
Arrivals are from 19.00 if you’d like to start early at the bar!
We’ll be inviting you to take your seats for dinner at 19.30 - with an introduction from Tenaya at 19.45 and the Feast beginning at 20.00.
