'Canteen' is always all about the food of love - served up in abundance and all of the good vibes! Ever since we started hosting Supper Clubs - The Italian Canteen with its many different menus - has always been received with lots of love from you!
Everything on the menu is made by hand in The Mowbray Kitchen from our pasta, sauces and our bread - this menu embraces the very last drops of Summer as we shift into early Autumn - celebrating some of the wonderful ingredients of this time of year…A sensationally fresh outlook with stacks of flavour and taste - we’re super excited about presenting this to you!
Sea Change
Our new ‘Eco Friendly’ House Wine at The Mowbray and The Chimney House.
We are passionate about sustainability and reducing waste and environmental impact. You can see this through how we restore, renew and recycle in our approach to our buildings, interior design and our team ethos for responsible and sustainable events.
We also love supporting those who champion new and better ways - so with this in mind - we have chosen a delicious range from Sea Change to sit as our House Wines.
Sea Change was created to make ocean-friendly drinking an easy and sustainable choice for people that love wine, and also love our planet. Sea Change start with their packaging to reduce their environmental impact: they use lighter-weight glass bottles, renewable plant-based closures and label paper from sustainable forests made in part from grape waste. Every bottle of Sea Change helps fund ocean conservation projects across the globe with their charity partners Ocean Generation.
We will be joined by Sea Change and LWC Drinks who will give unique insights into the wines that they have chosen to compliment our Feasting menu.

This Supper Club is all about pre-dinner tipples, it’s about an excellent playlist and a relaxed effortless little evening of feasting happiness…

Mowbray made garlic & rosemary focaccia (v, g)
Burrata to share with beetroot roasted with Sea Change Montepulciano, aged wine vinegar & walnuts (v, contains nuts)
THE MAIN EVENT
Cavatelli ‘Genovese’ ; Mowbray-made cavatelli pasta with tender beef shin, braised with bay, Sea Change Organic White Wine & tomato. Finished with pecorino cheese
For our vegetarian guests; Mowbray-made cavatelli pasta with roast broccoli & fresh basil pesto. Finished with pecorino & toasted pine nuts (v, g)
Aubergine stuffed with Bedlam squash & goats cheese. Topped with crispy pangrattato (v, g)
Slow roasted golden tomatoes, grilled courgettes & rocket with chardonnay vinegar & honey vinegar (v)

Almond sponge with raspberries & Sea Change Prosecco sabayon (v, g, contains nuts)

The Bar
As ever - The Mowbray Bar has curated a clutch of specialist cocktails designed to complement the feasting menu. We’ll also have our full bar menu available as well. We will have a beautiful range of Sea Change Wines to support our Feasting Menu.
Limoncello Sabia
Limoncello, prosecco and soda water - garnished with fresh kaffir lime leaves
If you’re not familiar with Limoncello, it’s a punchy little liqueur that's traditionally used to wash down a hearty meal. We’ve put a little spin on it with this spritz, full of bright lemon flavour balanced with zesty kaffir leaf garnish! Bubbly and effervescent with that same citrus bite.
Mezcal Negroni
Mezcal, campari bitter & sweet vermouth
In my humble opinion - the perfect drink for negroni and old fashioned lovers alike, don’t like either of those things? You’ll just have to trust me, it’s good!
Bermuda Hundred
London dry gin, Campari, pineapple juice, orgeat almond syrup and lime juice
The lovechild of a mai tai and a Negroni, this fruity orgeat and Campari cocktail is a sweet and summery thirst-quencher.
Samphire Martini
Samphire infused vodka & dry white sherry with a lemon twist
A bold sea-spired infusion showcased in a clean crisp martini with a simple lemon twist.. perfection
How To Book
Arrivals are from 18.30 if you’d like to start early at the bar!
We’ll be inviting you to take your seats for dinner at 19.30 - with the Feast beginning at 19.45.
Just let us know if you’ll be joining us early - otherwise we’ll see you from 19.00.
All bookings are through our online shop - just leave us a note in the comments box at checkout if you’d like to join us earlier and if you have any dietary requirements we need to know about
