'Canteen' is always all about the food of love - served up in abundance and all of the good vibes! Ever since we started hosting Supper Clubs - The Italian Canteen with its many different menus - has always been received with lots of love from you!
An Ode To Summer
Everything on the menu is made by hand in The Mowbray Kitchen from our pasta, sauces and our bread - this menu embraces Summer and celebrates some of the wonderful ingredients of this time of year…A sensationally fresh outlook with stacks of flavour and taste - we’re super excited about presenting this to you!
Join Us!
Feast in a group, as a couple, come as you are - this is a super social feast made magic with some other simple but essential ingredients - cosy candlelit, lights dimmed low, delicious seasonality and a fabulous vibe! This Supper Club is all about pre-dinner tipples, it’s about an excellent playlist and a relaxed effortless little evening of feasting happiness…
The Feast
Served relaxed and rolling with dishes for your booking to share
FIRST
Mowbray made focaccia with garlic aioli & gremolata (v, g)
'Nduja & ricotta fritters (g)
Artichoke & ricotta fritters for our vegetarian guests (v, g)
Cornish sardines marinated scapece style with garlic, olive oil & vinegar
Or for our vegetarian guests: grilled courgettes with lemon, garlic & mint
THEN
Cavatelli pasta alla norma; house made cavatelli with fried aubergines in tomato & basil sauce - finished with pecorino (v, g)
Mowbray polpette: our house meatballs made with beef, pork shoulder & home-made pancetta seasoned with fennel & lemon verbena (g)
For our vegetarian guests: Chicken of the woods (mushroom) sauteed with butter, capers & parsley (v)
WITH
Primo cabbage grilled & dressed with hazelnuts, lemon & oregano (v)
DOLCI
Torta Della Nonna; with lemon & vanilla custard filling & pine nut crust. With mascarpone (v, g)

The Bar
As ever - The Mowbray Bar will have curated a clutch of specialist cocktails designed to complement the feasting menu. We’ll also have our full bar menu available as well.
Arrivals & How To Book
Arrivals are from 18.30 if you’d like to start early at the bar!
We’ll be inviting you to take your seats for dinner at 19.30 - with the Feast beginning at 19.45.
Just let us know if you’ll be joining us early - otherwise we’ll see you from 19.00.
All bookings are through our online shop - just leave us a note in the comments box at checkout if you’d like to join us earlier and if you have any dietary requirements we need to know about
