Magic at The Mowbray
The splendor of the building - both inside and out has made this beautiful setting one of the most sought after urban venues in the region.
Mowbray weddings are 100% all about the romance! Our antique '40's chandelier dimmed to its twinkliest most sparkliest and candlelight glowing from every table and ledge. Push past our soft and luxurious velvet green drapes and let yourself be completely absorbed in the cosy glow that The Mowbray is famed for...
We are super lucky to sometimes treated to otherworldly light displays through our heavenly arched windows which we have painstakingly restored from 1889. The light in The Mowbray is always described - all year around - as "magic" by guests and photographers alike!
The Mowbray's Roof Bar - Up On The Roof is also included with each event - the perfect place for drinks and photography!
The Mowbray Way
The Mowbray is luxuriously historic with gentle styling and a story behind even the smallest item and touchpoint. The Mowbray way is holistic, intuitive and designed to completely look after every detail for you!
We spent 3 years restoring this incredible space - originally built in 1889 and are proud to champion restoration, Sheffield craftsmanship, sustainable design and re-purpose of beautiful items throughout our interior which has been applauded and awarded over the years!
We love small but important touches - that all add beauty and ambience to what we do - including our own coffee blend that we use at our inner city cafe - Mow’s to custom artwork for both The Mowbray and The Chimney House - and a bespoke scent for the buildings.
Your Private Roof Top
'Up On The Roof' you'll find our private first floor terrace for British blooms, complete with a gorgeous outside cocktail bar. Nestled between two buildings with a beautiful view out over the trees and skies of Neepsend - it is perfectly private and the place for all of the romance and fun times!
A Note on our Menus
All of our menus are prepared in-house by our wonderful chef team! Everything is baked and made fresh on the day from our bread, cakes, cookies and desserts and we pickle, cure, roast and toast the finest ingredients from Sheffield and Yorkshire.
We work 100% seasonally so sometimes we will need to change ingredients out for what is best and fresh - we’ll let you know if we need to tweak your chosen menu ahead of your event. We also cater for specific dietary requirements - just let us know and we’ll make it happen!
If you’d rather discuss a bespoke menu tailored to your event theme and guests - then we’d love to discuss that with you!

The Laden Table is also a complete feast for all of the senses as pretty as it is taste sensational!
Early spring is often referred to as ‘the hungry gap’ - as the winter vegetables come to an end, but the new season produce is yet to start. This presents a challenge for the farmers (and our chefs!) - but is an opportunity to use the available produce as it comes & goes. Working with Organic North (based in Manchester) gives us access to organic farmers all over the UK & Europe. Depending on the weather (of course) there is an abundance of beautiful fish & shellfish available in our seas.
This menu is all about using the best produce we can get & creating unique menu for your event on the day - definitely the one for foodies!

Menu 4 - THE SUPPER CLUB - £60 per person ex VAT - £72 inc VAT
Our supper clubs are hugely popular and a brilliant showcase of our chef’s skills & passion for excellent produce and flavours.
We work with our organic suppliers who source produce from all over the UK & Europe and our butchers and fishmongers and lovingly create dishes which celebrate these ingredients. We also like to take the opportunity to use our open fire, for intense smoky flavours or to make use of other skills such as pie making or specialist breads.
We would be delighted to create a supper club style menu for you, which is ideal for when you really want the feast to be the focal point of your evening or if you are a big fan of The Mowbray supper clubs!
Your supper club menu would be a collection of 8-10 dishes plus a dessert or two. Let us know if you have a theme or particular dish(es) in mind or leave it to us to put together a beautiful menu for you. We normally serve our supper clubs in a rolling service, with dishes landing on the table for guests to get stuck into straight away!
