A Celebration Supper & Kindred Times
What started as an idea for Bloom to take over our vintage trash can planters Up On The Roof for the Summer has blossomed into GROW - a dream collaboration and celebration supper to raise awareness and important funds for Bloom’s not-for-profit community flower garden in Heeley.
We are delighted through ticket sales to be able to donate £900 to Bloom directly from The Mowbray.
Bloom promotes positive mental health through therapeutic horticulture - providing weekly mental health groups designed to support women who need help managing their mental health needs. Led by Kendall Turner - Bloom uses the garden to provide activities and a safe space for women to take notice, get active and feel good.
This event has now sold out - thank you to everyone who has supported us!

A Feast - From The Garden
As ever -we’re taking full advantage of the season and the abundance that the Summer solstice provides. This is a dream collaboration for The Mowbray Kitchen - and we’re diving straight into the beauty of English garden produce.
This is a rolling 3-course menu - which has been designed to be 100% from the garden and as close to nature as possible. Heavily inspired by the allotment we have had so many requests for vegetarian and vegan for this event - we've kept true to the original idea and have curated a wonderfully fresh, vibrant feast which not only looks beautiful on the plate - but gives a true taste of midsummer.

We will be hosting a raffle with all the proceeds going towards running our community garden and mental health gardening groups for women. A celebration to share experiences, food and stories is what it's all about!"

Over to Kendall
Bloom Sheffield is a community flower garden for women in Heeley. We promote positive mental health through therapeutic horticulture. We started in 2019 with a very overgrown allotment and some big ideas. Now, we welcome women each week into our garden to make friends, learn new skills and enjoy nature together as a community.
We run Open Days each week for all women to attend, as well as weekly mental health groups. These groups support women who need help managing their mental health needs and we use the gifts from the garden to provide activities and a safe space for women to take notice, get active and feel good.
We are a not-for-profit organisation, so all the money we raise goes back into the garden and helps us keep delivering our groups and sessions to women in Sheffield. By supporting us, you are helping us provide more gardening groups and sessions which means women women can access our garden and reap the benefits of gardening as a community and spending time outdoors.
In the future, we plan to deliver twice as many mental health sessions per week and develop a new arm of the organisation which aims to teach women about horticulture and floristry.
Being a small organisation means that we rely on the kindness and generosity of our community to support our work and we are so grateful for every donation we receive.
