Say a sunny hello to The Great Sheffield BBQ - hosted ‘Up On The Roof’ - our private first floor roof terrace on Sunday 14th of August from 12 noon.
Designed to be a family and friends feast packed full of absolute seasonal greatness - straight from the vine and stem.
BBQ Life
For this Feast - we’ve tapped into what Summer BBQ means to us - and it’s all about sharing and passing dishes, the great taste and flavour from the fire pit matched with fresh and juicy ‘just picked’ treasures from the Summer plot…
But also - it brings into play for our 12yrs and under guests a sensationally tasty Mowbray Hot Dog and the joy that brings too… To sum it up - Joy is exactly what Summer BBQ means to us!
Booking Tables
As we’ll be up on our roof terrace - we have slightly limited numbers - so ‘on sale’ per table rather than per seat. Each seat at the table is £30 per adult and £12 for under 12 years.
Below you'll be able to book a table of 2 (and add on more guests if you'd like) or a table of 6 (and add on more guests) If you are looking for a table of 4 - just book 2 x tables of 2.
Rain, Rain Go-Away
We have a rainy day contingency as well… Which is that we’ll pop downstairs into The Mowbray - but hopefully we’ll all be toasting in the Sheffield rays under parasols and knocking back Garden Cocktails on the roof all afternoon!
The Feast - £30 per person
Mowbray-made grilled flatbreads (v, g)
Fire roasted smashed tomato & grilled courgettes (v)
Grilled peach and feta with basil & mint (v)
BBQ chicken with house-made Harissa & Chermoula
Or for our vegetarian guests: Fire roasted aubergine with dressed chickpeas & yoghurt (v)
Grilled gem lettuce with hazelnuts & sheep’s cheese (v)
Fire roasted potatoes with charred spring onions & zaatar (v, ve)
Radish & kohlrabi salad (v, ve)

The Mowbray Ice Cream Sharing Sundae - a completely delicious Blackcurrant ripple ice cream, macerated Yorkshire strawberries & crushed meringue (v, g)

Delicious Sausage in a hot dog roll with crispy fries, cucumber & carrot sticks (veggie sausages available - just let us know in the comments box at checkout)

BBQ Specials
Sbagliato Negroni £8.50
Cocchi Sweet Vermouth, Campari, Prosecco
Translated, a “wrong Negroni”. This gorgeous Italian sipper is said to have been invented completely by accident! Whilst making a classic Negroni they grabbed the prosecco instead of the gin… What a happy accident that was to accompany our BBQ summer menu.
Island Daiquiri £9
Koko Kanu Coconut Rum, Citrus, Simple Syrup & Pineapple
Prefer something a little sweeter? Dreaming of a tropical island? This little coupe might be just the ticket. We love a Daiquiri in the summer and pineapple and coconut make the perfect pair!
Limoncello Spritz £8.50
Limoncello Liqueur, Prosecco & Soda Water
If you’re not familiar with Limoncello, it’s a punchy little liqueur that traditionally used to wash down a hearty meal. We’ve put a little spin on it with this spritz, full of bright lemon flavour! Bubbly and effervescent with that same citrus bite.
Bloody Mary £9
Vodka, Mowbray made tomato puree mix, fresh lemon juice & tabasco (tell your server how spicy you’d like it)
What better accompanies a Sunday afternoon than a classic Bloody Mary. Rich, delicious and decadent.
