The award winning Great Sheffield Roast returns on Sunday the 6th of October 2024. Join us for the first of our Roast Series as we enter the cosy Autumn season!

If you've been to The Great Sheffield Roast before - you'll know that The Mowbray Roasts are all about time feasting with friends and family...

This menu is everything we believe to be the perfect Sheffield Roast - servings are plentiful and dishes are created with only the best local ingredients. Roast is one of our most popular events so don't leave it too late to book!

Arrivals are from 12 noon with The Great Sheffield Roast being served from 12.45 allowing you time to get settled in and enjoy a pre dinner drink!

We’ll be serving your feast per table for you all to tuck into so don’t be shy! We’ll serve any children’s meals shortly after the bread & butter to keep the little ones happy!

As usual - our cocktail bar will be brimming with the good stuff for pre-roast, during roast and after roast!

TO START

Mowbray-made sourdough & salted butter (v, g)

THE ROAST

Dry aged, heritage breed beef sirloin - roasted with rosemary & shallots. Served with horseradish cream & red wine gravy

Or for our vegetarian guests: Walnut & cheddar polenta with roast shallot gravy (v)

SIDES TO SHARE

Perfect Mowbray roasties - with garlic & thyme (v)

Cauliflower cheese (v, g)

Parsnips roasted maple & sherry vinegar (v)

Hispi cabbage roasted with oregano (v)

Mowbray Yorkshire Puddings (v,g)

TO FINISH

Polenta & Almond Cake, drizzled with honey and toasted almonds. Served with greek yoghurt (v, contains nuts)

Roast chicken with roasties, cauliflower cheese, peas, carrots & half a Yorkshire Pud! (g) (£12)
