Thank you to everyone of you who joined us for a beautiful Sunday on the 29th of January - for coffee, cocktails and chat!
Hosted inside the candlelit beauty of The Mowbray - we welcomed a wonderful group of people to experience the magic of The Mowbray - and of course down River at The Chimney House.
We also hosted 'Le Petit Marché' - made up of some truly wonderful creatives and makers who are entirely dedicated to you and your vision on your wedding day.
We have regular Open Houses - at least once - sometimes twice a month - keep an eye on our Events Page for updates!
Weddings at The Mowbray & The Chimney House
Our team loved chatting with you about all things weddings and events and we adored hosting you for a relaxed viewing of The Mowbray or The Chimney House or both!
We styled both The Mowbray and The Chimney House with our trademark candles, soft floral touches and antique curiosities, along with tables laid for a feast with our bespoke Sheffield Steel and gleaming glassware, to give you a magical glimpse into how we would take care of your day with us!
We chatted about beautiful ceremonies at The Chimney House, parties at The Mowbray, our glorious wedding feasts and seasonal menus from The Mowbray Kitchen down to the smallest most beautiful details.
The Sunday Cocktail Bar & Coffee at Mow's
The Sunday Cocktail Bar was open all day - and as well as serving up Punch Bowls to everyone who visited us - we had the most delicious infusions and homebrews - and served up some magic little tipples and Sunday morning faves!
Our little inner city coffee hangout ‘Mow’s’ joined us for some expert speciality coffee to liven up our Sunday morning - with coffee, spiced chai and hot chocolate - PLUS Doughboy Pie!
Mow's is our lockdown baby - and is now a flourishing little inner city coffee hangout! Come and see us at the front of Laundry for Hair at Sellers Wheel, 151 Arundel Street - serving up excellent coffee and anytime eating seven days a week.
Our goal is a 'coffee first' cafe experience with a beautiful but pretense free coffee menu that features guest coffees and local house favourites - such as Dark Woods.
Everything is chosen by hand and an exacting eye and has a great story behind it. We spend a lot of time building relationships with some of the most interesting roasters locally and in the UK and around the world to bring you new and diverse tastes and flavours some of which you won't find in many parts of the UK. We tend to buy in small batches so when it's gone it's gone - but you'll always have new coffee to taste and we have new stories to tell...

We luxuriated in the company of...
Kate Beaumont designs and makes understatedly beautiful wedding dresses from her working studio here in Sheffield. Working with luxurious silks and laces, Kate's dresses are a dream to wear. Kate brought a selection of her sumptuous gowns to The Mowbray, along with samples of newly created lingerie that she's created from repurposed leftover silks - pure luxury!
Georgie is a bespoke stationery Designer and Illustrator based in Sheffield. She specialises in designing luxury, handcrafted stationery for special weddings and events.
Georgie collaborates with people to create beautiful, one of a kind stationery that is full of style and personality that suits them. She sources gorgeous materials to make her stationery stand out and add a magic touch to your special day!
Debbie Carlisle Bridal Hair Accessories
Debbie Carlisle designs and makes wedding hair accessories for modern brides and boutiques all over the world from her Sheffield studio.
From star-encrusted crystal crowns to fabulous floral hair vines, combs and pins, Debbie is inspired by the natural world to create thoughtfully designed handcrafted wedding headpieces with a wild, ethereal, bohemian feel.
Debbie takes a considered approach to every piece she makes, using only the best materials to carefully create delicate, comfortable bridal hair accessories that are a joy to wear on your wedding day and are designed to be worn and treasured long afterwards.
Debbie brought a selection of her designs to The Mowbray - including crowns and headbands from her brand new 2023 collection, Goddess.
Cathy creates bespoke wedding and engagement rings and organic styled jewellery from her workshop in Sheffield. She will work with you to design the perfect wedding rings and jewellery for your day. Each piece is handmade from recycled silver and gold, using ethically sourced gemstones.
You can also recycle your old sentimental or heirloom jewellery pieces and have them re-worked into your new wedding jewellery.
Sophia creates a melody of romance, with every delicate note enhancing the atmosphere of your wedding. Combining her love of singing with the timeless quality of the harp, Sophia enjoys performing romantic classics as well as contemporary easy listening songs which will charm your guests, compliment the joy of your celebration and create the perfect musical
backdrop for your Ceremony, Reception or Wedding Breakfast.
A musician and singer from the age of six, Sophia grew up in a family with music at its heart. She is a natural performer and her love for it shines through. For 20 years, she has travelled and performed at hundreds of diverse events, including Royal performances, corporate and private occasions, sharing her music with people all over the world. However, a hopeless
romantic herself, Sophia most enjoys being part of a couple’s wedding day and playing melodic, lyrical pieces to celebrate the happy occasion!

We are proud to be based in Sheffield and attend over 300 events a year.
Our beautiful handcrafted Retro Booth is made in Yorkshire. Elegant style, quality and super quick set-up. Our Retro Booth is a classic style, delivering the highest quality photos that are perfect for weddings.
Craft is me - Laura Mosley - I’ve been doing makeup for weddings for the last 15 years for Sheffield and beyond. My style is cool, effortless glam. I love natural beautiful skin but I love a vibrant pop of colour too.
I have a studio space in Meersbrook for trials and appointments but I’m available to come to you on the morning of the wedding.
Lisa had sent us the most gorgeous soaps to use as amazing table gifts/favours... So beautiful - made in the Peak District - and smell most heavenly...

A huge thank you to everyone who registered, made an appointment or called in! This was the first time we had hosted an Open House with the addition of 'Le Petit Marché' - and we loved how it all worked! It seemed to be the perfect blend!
