Wonky Fruit Spritz & ‘Cello Bar
We’ve teamed up with our friends Wolfe Bros of Yorkshire - an award winning gin and liqueurs producer based in central Leeds - all about sustainable production and practice - they’ll be setting up a special Wonky Fruit Festival Spiritz & ‘Cello Bar in Vic's Courtyard for the day!
Made in Yorkshire from re-purposed gin distillate, surplus and wonky fruit - they produce a gorgeous collection of locally sourced liqueurs inspired by Italy and the incredible produce we can find on our Yorkshire doorstep.
We’ll be serving - Lemoncello, Orancello & Rhubacello Spritz from The Courtyard!
Festival Fave! Rhubacello
Produced by Wolfe Bros in Leeds. A celebration of the finest Yorkshire produce - they source forced Yorkshire rhubarb from 4th generation growers Robert & Paula Tomlinson in the world famous ‘Rhubarb Triangle’. Grown the same way in the same place for more than 140 years. Wolfe Bros take ‘wonky’ rhubarb directly from the farm throughout the tightly controlled winter growing season and hand process nearly 4 tonnes in 13 weeks. The wonderfully imperfect, nobbly & gnarly pink rhubarb is frozen and then juiced in a cider press. The resulting bright, pink, vivid rhubarb juice is blended with British wheat spirit and cane sugar….It’s delicious!
