Bold Beauty
Like most great days in history, Ruth and Chris’ wedding started with a magnificent Mowbray fizz tower! Glorious afternoon sunshine illuminated the feasting hall as guests arrived through our gorgeous factory doors. Chris and Ruth’s style was bold, beautiful with a chic indie edge. Vibrant shades of coral popped throughout the day, from floral head wreaths for the bridal party, bridesmaids gowns and Ruth’s fabulous trademark lipstick. A total beauty!
Handmade with Love
Ruth’s super chic wedding gown was designed and made by her and her mum. Does it get much sweeter than that?! Simple clean lines with a nipped in waist teamed with a handmade floral headband and wooden block platforms - simply stunning. Bridal flowers included a beautiful mix of wax flowers, scabiosa, coral vuvuzela rose, asceplias, quicksand roses, eucalyptus and astrantia - perfect summer brights.
A Glorious Summer Feast
Chris and Ruth chose the House Feast, a delightful celebration of Great British summer flavours. This menu celebrates glorious hospitality amongst friends and family and the golden age of hosting.
On The Table
Mowbray-made focaccia with Yorkshire salted butter, whipped ricotta with roasted garlic,
fresh marinated anchovies, little gem lettuce & Yorkshire buttermilk dressing.
The Main Event
Dry aged Yorkshire pork ribeye, salsa verde with green peppercorns & capers, Yorkshire broad bean, spinach & feta M’Hanncha.
Served with
Isle of Wight tomatoes with fresh oregano, cabernet sauvignon vinegar & rapeseed oil
English asparagus chargrilled and dressed with lemon, Jersey Royals roasted with thyme & rosemary
Pudding
The blackcurrant beauty… crisp white meringue, mascarpone & blackcurrant compote (this is a house fave: the sharp blackcurrants are incredible against the super creamy mascarpone and sweet, crispy meringue) Plus, a sweet treat to finish your evening… Mowbray mallows: Pink grapefruit & mint marshmallows
Tears of Joy
After a satisfying and sumptuous wedding feast, it was time to raise a glass to the newlyweds!
Tears of joy and laughter swept the room as hilarious and heartfelt speeches were delivered, along with brimming fizz glasses and great vibes all round.
Once in a Lifetime
Chris and Ruth’s day was a joyous celebration of love, friendship, great music, excellent food and gorgeous details… basically everything they adore rolled into one fabulous day. Their first dance was aptly ‘Once in a Lifetime’ by Talking Heads. Taking to the dance floor for the first time a married couple to their favourite tune played by best friend a most excellent DJ, Jaq Chell.
