A Leap of Faith
Kelly and David followed our journey from the early days of renovation, putting total trust in our vision and plans for The Mowbray. As we neared completion, Kelly and David fell in love more and more with the beautiful final touches and luxurious details. Such our 30ft velvet curtains, 1940’s glass chandelier and antique red leather chairs, ready to line the feasting tables.
“When we thought it couldn’t get better, we were told that The Chimney House were in the final stages of getting their licence to hold marriage ceremonies and we could get married there. This was our perfect set up, being able to feature both beautiful venues for our special day; married at The Chimney House for an intimate ceremony and then on to The Mowbray for a feast and most importantly a party.”
Flickering Romance
The Chimney House looked exceptionally beautiful in the low spring light. With soft blooms, floral stems, flickering candlelight and gorgeous antique curiosities, welcoming guests into total total luxury, ready Kelly and David to say their vows.
Quintessential English Beauty
Kelly and David’s ‘Love List’ was a carefully curated line up of suppliers with every tiny detail beautifully considered. A sophisticated pastel palette set the tone for the day, with Kelly’s luxury silk gown hand finished with floral embellishment, Kelly looked every bit the quintessential English beauty walking down the aisle. An intimate ceremony was followed by celebratory fizz and beers, then a short walk around to The Mowbray to get the party started!
Cocktail Hour
Guests arrived to The Mowbray for super sophisticated evening of fizz towers, feasting, cocktails and dancing. Agnes Black captured so many beautiful details of the day, gorgeous tablescapes, soft candlelight and dusky rooftop romance.
“The venue stylings were gorgeous, and exceeded our expectations. We admired the attention to detail and sheer luxury, which included the Aesop amenities which we love. One of our favourite things and something which made our entrance so special was the champagne reception, the champagne glass tower was stunning and adored by all.”
A Deluxe Spring Supper
Kelly and David were our first guests to enjoy our fabulous Spring wedding menu. An abundant feast of Mowbray Kitchen delights. Needless to say, it went down famously with their guests!

The Main Event
The Mowbray Porchetta; British pork loin surrounded by pork belly and crunchy crackling, roasted with apples & sage with wholegrain mustard & cider sauce. Plus, delicious roast squash, sage & chestnut pie.
Served with
Tenderstem broccoli dressed with rapeseed oil, maple roasted parsnips, charred & braised January King cabbage, roast potatoes with garlic and thyme.

Sumptuous homemade apple crumble & ice cream
A Hearty Evening Bite
We served the heartiest Yorkshire beef burgers with Wensleydale cheddar & homemade pickles and onion bhaji burgers with homemade pickles and spiced yoghurt. What an absolute delight for Kelly and David evening guests!
