Australia Calling
We first met Nicola and Philip just over a year ago - they were planning their August 2019 wedding from Australia. We had the pleasure of meeting them in person when they came over for Christmas in the UK in December 2018. We showed this gorgeous couple around both The Chimney House and The Mowbray for their beautiful ceremony and wedding feast for 74 guests.
Super Luxe Ceremony
After a joyous humanist ceremony - set amongst Summer blooms and twinkling candles - which included a ring warming ritual and a blessing from community, guests enjoyed the perfect Summer bite to bridge the gap between the ceremony and the Wedding Feast over at The Mowbray.

Those Beautiful Touches
So many of our couples are really creative - and we love it when they bring their creativity into their day with us. This was a day of wonderful meaningful touches - Phil’s Mum even made a beautiful cake stand for the wedding cake…
Nicola made her own Hand-poured Australian Bush and English Rose soy candles for the favours which doubled up as place names on the feasting tables. She also made super cute hangover kits.
Nicola had 6 bridesmaids and her own master of ceremonies - the lovely Cathryn who introduced all the bridesmaids who all wore personalised denim jackets. The bridesmaids surprised Nicola by playing a surprise film during speeches.
And of course the weather was delightful - so the wedding party could move to the terrace for a beautiful series of photos...By the super talented Laura Adams.
Laura has captured the day and both The Chimney House and The Mowbray in their true beauty - and we're delighted that Nicola & Phil have these memories from a remarkable day.

We like to think The House Feast brings back the ethos of 'host’. Ahhh, the age of glorious hospitality amongst friends will reign supreme again!
