An Invite!
To start the year well - we'd love to invite you to join us at our Events Open House on Saturday 20th or Sunday 21st of January to celebrate the New Year with a free glass from our boozy or none-boozy Punch Bowls!
A lovely relaxed time to have a chat with us about any ideas or events - or just call in for Lunch and a glass of something lovely from the bar! We have some wonderful events suppliers joining us - great for inspiration and ideas for all events!

Awards!
We had a great start to the year with an award at the end of 2023. We were delighted to receive the 2023/4 Award for Best Micro Business for The Mowbray and The Chimney House at the unLtd Magazine Business Awards - you can read more about how we continue to innovate here with part of our awards entry…
A large part of our entry was dedicated to our commitment to our sustainability focus - which we achieve with the restoration of old derelict buildings and filling them with thoughtful design and new purpose.
The Mowbray has also been hailed as one of the best Wedding Venues for 2024 by Wedding giant Lace & Favour - have a look here!
The Meeting Room
We are booking now through 2024 and 2025 for The Meeting Room at both The Mowbray and The Chimney House - and we have made the decision not to increase our hire prices for the third year running - and we continue to include unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits as usual for each guest.
We enjoyed a particularly buoyant 2023 with our additions to our Meeting Room offer - including fresh barista coffee, new layouts and a tailored approached to morning to evening dining as part of your event. For 2024 The Mowbray Kitchen have also added some more fresh seasonality through our Meeting & Events menu for 2024 - with some beautiful new lunchtime menus for your team - from the MEZZE Feast to fresh Lasagne bakes - we'd love to hear from you on events@themowbray.co.uk if we can help you with any ideas!
Private Dining & Feasting
From cosy dinners for 25 directors to 150 guests celebrating Christmas - Dining in 2023 was our busiest and most successful year to date - we’ve welcomed thousands of guests around our feasting tables and have taken each guest on a journey through seasonality and outstanding food with flawless feedback.

Productive Time in Beautiful Spaces
We’re proud to continue to work hard to develop and establish The Mowbray and The Chimney House as leading event spaces in Sheffield. Staying true to our principles of expert hospitality, seasonal and provenance rich food matched with sustainability and responsible design and thinking we have created a positive and dynamic working environment for our talented team, guests and community who use our spaces seeking an inspiring time away from the norm to spend productive time in beautiful spaces.
New Experiences
As a creative, independent, family run business - we are motivated by giving our guests brilliant experiences. We focus on brand building within our ecosystem to bring new elements for you to enjoy within our buildings. Expanding our brand for our community adds not only value - but substance and meaning - giving plenty of reason for return visits for different occasions and a feeling of comfortable reassurance that each event will be arranged and delivered to perfection.
We covered everything in 2023 from meetings, away days, training sessions, conferences into conference dinners, celebration landmark occasions, retirement private dining, networking, awards ceremonies, company Summer Socials and of course a brilliant Christmas season!
House Events
Our programme of House events is expanding year on year Supper Clubs, Lunch Clubs, The Great Sheffield Roast, Markets and Wellness Events - keep an eye on our events page - as we always have something interesting on!
Plans for Future Growth
We are currently developing our third Sheffield building - The Victoria - which will be our new venue opening in 2024. We are investing back into Sheffield ‘industrial’ stock and creating a flagship venue that will sit alongside The Mowbray and The Chimney House that will also house the Rock & Star events team.
